In rememberance and in celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr., Stanford University organized a Drum for Peace Rally on the 40th anniversary of his assassination. This event was sponsored by the following Stanford University departments: the Martin Luther King, Jr. Research & Education Institute, Office for Religious Life, Center for Comparative Studies in Race & Ethnicity, African and African-American Studies, Black Community Services Center, and the Native American Cultural Center. Gamo Da Paz was invited to perform for this distinguished event.
